**About the role**

Working closely with the Op Shop Management Team you will provide support to all Qld Op Shop locations during times of leave and peak periods. The successful applicant will need to be willing to travel frequently, work a changing roster, meet key performance indicators, develop strong relationships with every RSPCA Op Shop team, and provide a high level of support.
- Represent the RSPCA Qld Op Shop team and brand through your passion for all things preloved and second-hand, and encourage the same within your team to create a positive supportive atmosphere
- Caring for the feline adoption animals including animal health, cleanliness/hygiene
- Undertaking adoption consultations
- Work closely with the State Manager - Retail to support the goals and mission of the RSPCA Qld
- Train and support volunteers in all aspects of the operations both retail and animal care
- Communicate with, and coordinate volunteers and staff whilst building and maintaining a strong relationship with them. Coordinating may include but not be limited to; supervision, training and support, monitoring daily banking and managing conflict resolution
- Monitor and report retail sales, recommend and implement ways in which to increase revenue and profits, maintain and periodically review the shop’s pricing list
- Direct and monitor the daily register opening & closing procedures
- Coordinate attractive and seasonally appropriate sales floor displays
- Provide exceptional levels of customer service at all times
- Work closely with other staff and volunteers to coordinate the pick-up and delivery of donated goods.

**Who are we looking for?**
- Passionate about retail and op shopping, and have at least 5 years’ experience in a retail role
- Flexible and versatile working style with a willingness to travel between stores as needed
- A customer service guru who wants to work in a unique organisation
- Creative and willing to try new things to merchandise and promote stock movement
- Knowledgeable in fashion brands and other high-end products
- Understand the day-to-day operations and sales requirements of a retail store
- Willingness to sort incoming donations, able to be decisive, and communicate donation needs to supporter
- A great communicator who strives to build strong relationships with others
- Flexible and adaptable in changing situations, and able to approach difficult situations with a calculated and positive approach
- Physically fit and comfortable in undertaking manual handling such as lifting up to 10kg
- Enthusiastic about representing the RSPCA Op Shops within the team and externally with the local community;
- Feel an alignment with your values and those of the RSPCA Qld mission, vision and people principles.

This is a full-time, permanent position, working 38 hours per week. Remuneration is as per the General Retail Industry Award commensurate with skills, qualifications and experience.
