**About the opportunity**:
Our Financial Audit division is a diverse group of approximately 80 highly motivated audit professionals.

We currently have a VPS5.2 opportunity where you will be part of a supportive team committed to professional excellence that will help you build skills to advance your career.

**What you’ll do**:
Managers in Financial Audit are dynamic, adaptable leaders with the ability to motivate and coach others to achieve their work goals. As team leaders, they are responsible for the delivery of a work program which includes financial audits and business improvement initiatives.

VAGO Managers are rigorous and innovative in their approach to work and are motivated by the challenge of promoting continuous improvement in the Victorian public sector. They create opportunities for others to learn and develop, while actively pursuing their own professional development goals.

**About you**:

- Effectively communicates, providing clear and accurate explanations and conveying technical concepts in an easily understandable manger to a range of stakeholders
- Uses initiative and sound judgement when undertaking projects and responding to and/or escalating issues
- Processes technical concepts comfortably, using analytical skills and professional scepticism to reason through problems
- Demonstrates innovative thinking and actively embraces change
- Promotes a culture of inquiry by sharing learning and knowledge
- Uses an adaptive and professional approach when establishing and maintaining relationships
- Proactively responds to trends, emerging issues, risks and opportunities

- A sound working knowledge of Australian Accounting and Auditing Standards, legislative and regulatory requirements.

**Experience and Qualifications**:

- Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Science, Technology, Economics or Mathematics
- Experience undertaking audits or complex investigations, inquiries or reviews
- Holds a full professional membership with CPA Australia, CAANZ or the IPA
