Manager role - Ongoing VPS6 position in the Schools Workforce Group.
The Department of Education and Training is offering a unique opportunity to get involved in the delivery of a series of reforms in the workforce policy and strategy division in Victoria. With the expansion of our work, we have an opportunity for a new manager to join our committed, collaborative, and supportive team. These roles will provide you an opportunity to contribute to the design, engagement, and implementation of workforce policy and initial teacher education policy.
You will play a key role in the division, which is developing multiple, intersecting strategies to successfully implement this complex reform in partnership with universities and other stakeholders.
Key areas of focus for the division include supporting regional staff with working with schools, monitoring implementation progress and identifying and mitigating risks.
To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate the Victorian Public Sector values, excel in a fast-paced and changing environment, have strong people management skills, exceptional written and verbal communication skills and be able to manage multiple projects within your team concurrently. You will have a strong understanding of policy development and project management with proven experience and enjoy working collaboratively to achieve positive outcomes.
