We are urgently hiring an
**Agile Coach**. This role will be coaching and mentoring agile teams through transformational change to drive engagement and deliver on key business objectives.

**The job is due to start immediately with a 3 month contract.**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Coach teams in agile values, principles and practices and models the agile mindset
- Anticipate and address/remove blockers/impediments that the team may encounter so the team can remain focused on its goals
- Shape the design of processes and practices used by the team based on their maturity and ensure team adherence to the agreed agile process rules
- Help the team manage and resolve conflicts and challenges, and play a key role in improving team cohesion, motivation, dynamics and performance
- Coach the teams to be self-managing, self-organizing and continually improving
- In collaboration with the Product Owner, review and refine the product backlog, re prioritizing and re-assessing the relevance of tasks/stories
- Negotiate with product owners and stakeholders to protect the team from external influences impacting their ability to meet the agreed goals
- Coach newer scrum masters to build capability and lead a community of practice to facilitate continued learning and capability across the agency
- Provide Program level coaching on agile principles, approaches and practices in the Agency’s context.
- Identify and tailor appropriate agile tools, guidelines and metrics to establish better and improve use of agile teams. Support should include identifying standards and practices for a program to manage individual agile teams to follow.

**Requirements**:

- Extensive Agile coaching experience
- Significant experience in implementing agile project methodologies in large organisations
- Proven experience in building internal capability of organisations
- Extensive stakeholder management experience with the skills to resolve disputes, develop team cohesion
- Demonstrated leadership skills to build self-managing teams in an environment of trust
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate business and technical problems
- Strong knowledge and applied experience with Agile Processes
- Experience using Jira
