**About Our Client**:
An icon of the Australian cement industry, our client's business portfolio is diverse, comprising a series of heavy industrial manufacturing operations, coal and limestone mines, bulk distribution transport fleet, rail and shipping interactions and hazardous waste treatment and alternative fuel production.
Be the first point of contact for customers to place orders, raise queries and enquire on their account and activity. The role is also responsible for proactive communication with customers regarding negotiation of delivery schedules, confirmation of orders, purchase orders, quotation requests and advice regarding product promotions available.
- Process customer orders promptly and accurately
- Investigate and resolve customer queries
- Effectively liaise with other key areas of the business to ensure seamless service delivery to customers
- Complete all reporting requirements in full and on time
- Proactively promote new and existing products and services on offer to customers
**The Successful Applicant**:
- Prior experience in a similar customer based position
- Strong administration skills and ability to multitask
- Experience with SAP and Lotus Notes desirable
- Transport and/or logistics industry experience highly regarded
- Good verbal and written skills, including report writing skills
- General business knowledge (eg. site distances, states, etc)
- Good negotiation skills
