**Our Team & Opportunity**

The past two years have seen significant transformation for Vanguard Australia, with launching the Personal Investor Platform and Superannuation offer for Australian Investors. To deepen and scale our efforts in taking a data led approach to improve the experience of our investors and Advisers, the Chief Data Analytics Office (CDAO) was formed.

We are looking for a Head of Analytics, a data evangelist who is passionate about data, Business Intelligence, business impact, Automation, and can coach and develop a high-performing team. You'll be engaging senior stakeholders, and commit to deliver multiple flagship project s in Financial Advisers Services, Personal Investor and our Superannuation offer s.

As a seasoned data leader, with at least 10 years in managing happy teams and delivering great outcomes you will be responsible for leading cross-functional projects in the Data & Analytics space. You and your team will be working with data from a wide range of data sources and stakeholders, ERP, transactional systems, Finance, Marketing, Financial Crimes, Fraud and partner with Data Engineers, Data Scientists and Data Governance practitioners.

You will lead Vanguard 's Data Analytics team and be a pillar of its eco-system in support of the delivery of AI, ML and Business Intelligence solutions for both internal and external stakeholders.

**What You Will Do**
- Lead the "go-to data function" and be the first point of contact of Financial Advisers Services to CDAO for data requests, analysis, reporting, dashboard business initiatives and ad-hoc requests; Provide effort estimations, Data Analysis best practices and be a business-to-technical conduit.
- Guide and lead a happy team of passionate data practitioners in a multi-year data journey; Build your Data Analysis' teams SOPs - deployments & version control of dashboard & reports and data exploration - by coaching them in technical, analytical, interpersonal, and managerial skills.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, senior stakeholders(C-Level) to build Vanguard Business Intelligence capabilities and strategy to inform, influence, and execute strategic business initiatives and decisions.
- Work with other "Heads of" and data teams to deliver technical solutions needed to implement Vanguard's data strategy, roadmap, data governance, data quality and data management capabilities; Understand of modern Data Engineering and Data Science concepts, architecture and implementation.
- Improve the data literacy across the Vanguard, mature its Business Intelligence capabilities by automation, self-service and modern data analysis patterns.

**What We Are Looking For**
- 10+ years of BI & Data experience; 6+ years of experience managing teams.
- A Team player with excellent communications skills and senior stakeholders'(C-Level) management; Proven track records of value delivering and impactful results.
- Deep understanding of a modern Data & Analytics framework and IT concepts.
- Sound experience in SCRUM-Agile based teams, effort estimation, prioritisation and planning for muti discipline data teams.
- Excellent knowledge and previous practical experience in BI tools (PowerBI, Tableau etc) data exploration, visualisation, storytelling, data quality analysis, testing, data reconciliation, data modeling and Data Warehouse principals.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and demonstrated ability to self-manage with competing priorities.
- Degree commercial, analytical, mathematical discipline, ITIL, ITSM certification or equivalent experience
