**The Role**
We are seeking an experienced **Plant Coordinator **to join the West Region Delivery Team on this long term frameworks contract (10-year construction and maintenance program) in western Sydney.
Reporting to the Construction Support Services Manager, you will provide support to our utilities construction team for Sydney Water’s Western Region Delivery Team. You will be responsible for coordinating the hiring/procurement and movement of vehicles, construction plant and equipment.
Other responsibilities of the role include assisting with updating procedures relating to the use of plant and equipment, onboarding of plant and equipment, coordinating and logging faults, liaising with schedulers for registration and servicing requirements of plant and equipment, ensuring equipment is available and in good repair and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
**Responsibilities**
- The administration of the pooled vehicle and plant fleet.
- Assist with planning, organising and control of the audit system to ensure vehicles in operation are maintained in accordance with planned maintenance/ service schedules, meet brand standards.
- Assist in delivery of monthly reports communicating progress against key objectives and/or KPI’s in terms of the program or other strategies required by West Region Delivery Team.
- Responsible for all onsite inventory management - including monthly stock takes, analysis of theoretical versus actual consumption of raw materials and reasons for variances.
- Report any anomalies and evidence of damage to the relevant Manager.
- Support the registration process for plant and liaising with road authorities.
- Overseeing the preventative maintenance of department assets.
- Support the Verification of Competency (VOC) process.
**What you will need**
- Experience in procurement practices, procedure development and managing suppliers.
- Experience in the use of systems to assist in management of plant and equipment records, accreditation and ideally, utilisation.
- A firm grasp of safety management strategies on issues related to plant and equipment.
- Strong people and communication skills and develop effective working relationships.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to priorities competing deadlines.
