Are you a dynamic and motivated individual with a passion for design and technical expertise? SPORTENG is an engineering company that specialises in the planning, design, and construction inspection for Fields of Play for all sports. We are seeking a Civil Designer to join our enthusiastic team and play a pivotal role in driving success and innovation.

As the Civil Designer at SPORTENG, you will be an integral part of the SPORTENG team, working closely, with the Civil Engineers and Drafters to produce conceptual and detail design drawings, plans and documentation related to Fields of Play facilities and surfaces. The Civil Designer has a strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and 12d and uses this as the basis for producing high quality designs which meet the clients’ briefs.

Salary Range: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00

**Key Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with team members to develop plans and produce a full detailed design.
- Coordinate the collection of design information with Civil Engineers during inception meetings.
- Utilise AutoCAD and 12d to create detailed designs related to the Field of Play designs that clients have requested.
- Assist in the production of drawings for the SPORTENG construction phase.
- Generate ideas and concepts regarding a clients Field of Play design requirements.
- Refine the selected concepts and produce alternative design solutions.
- Participate in the investigation of the design of the project to ensure the master plan produced represents the stakeholder’s brief.
- Provide clear and concise information to team members and clients, translating design terminology into easy-to-understand language.
- Assist in the mentoring of junior drafters.
- When required review the sketches and drawings made by drafters to ensure all codes are being followed and plans are accurate.

**About you**:

- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Design Engineering, Drafting or a related field.
- Experience in detailed design or other complimentary fields of expertise
- Knowledge of technical specifications
- Demonstrated commitment to meeting client needs and continuous improvement.
- Proficient in Microsoft office suite and design software AutoCAD and 12d model
- Detail Orientated
- Excellent problem solving skills.
- Ability to prioritise competing deadlines.
