**As Manager, Oversight, you will specifically**:

- Coordinate the provision of authoritative, professional and timely advice and analysis in response to requests from oversight and advocacy functions, reviews, reports and recommendations, ensuring compliance with any statutory timeframes. Lead effective stakeholder engagement on behalf of the Director with a wide range of organisations, agencies and offices. Coordinate submissions, documentation, proposals and initiatives and contribute a strategic perspective to responses. Manage projects of a complex, sensitive and contentious nature as assigned by the Director including new youth detention centre initiatives. Coordinate and/or conduct research into youth detention centre matters and other practices relating to young people at risk of reoffending within the community affecting the policy and operations of the department, including the analysis of findings and the recommendations of appropriate courses of action. Manage the Youth Detention Oversight team including work planning and financial and human resource responsibilities. Active participation in and contribution to the governance and strategic objectives of the department.
