**Your next career opportunity**
As a Research Assistant in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Melbourne, you'll be at the forefront of mood disorder research. Based at the Royal Melbourne Hospital's AIM Clinic, you'll support innovative clinical trials investigating novel treatments for difficult-to-treat depression. This role offers you the chance to contribute to groundbreaking research, work with leading experts, and potentially impact the lives of those struggling with severe mood disorders.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Facilitate Trial Recruitment: Liaise with local networks to encourage referrals and enrol participants in clinical trials.
- Conduct Assessments: Perform and record research assessments using standardised clinical instruments.
- Ensure Data Integrity: Collect, record, and maintain accurate study data in compliance with ethical and regulatory standards.
- Support Trial Operations: Assist with clinical trial treatments and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
- Contribute to Research Outputs: Assist in data analysis, report writing, and contributions to publications and presentations.

**You may be a great fit if**:
You hold an Honours or post-graduate degree in behavioural or social sciences, mental health nursing, or a related discipline, with experience in research and conducting assessments.

**You may also**:

- Have experience contributing to independent or team-based research projects.
- Possess highly developed organisational and time-management skills.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Show commitment to the University's values of collaboration, compassion, respect, integrity, and accountability.
- Be familiar with research ethics and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) requirements.
