**YOUR ROLE**

Our **Line 1 Risk & Governance team** has an opportunity for an experienced operational risk management Specialist, where you will be an integral member of a small team that makes a significant impact. Our team supports all areas of the Finance Division to achieve IAGs risk maturity and culture goals. Our team works across group areas of Financial control and tax, Actuarial, Reinsurance, Investor relations, Capital markets and investments.

As a **Specialist in the Risk & Governance team**, you will work with other members in our team and support various stakeholders across multiple areas, to continue to embed effective risk management practices and maintain data hygiene. This includes Operational Resilience and all elements of the risk management lifecycle, including risk assessments, compliance management, control management and testing, risk event and issue management, key indicators.

This is a permanent full-time role. Preferred locations are Sydney (Gadigal) and Melbourne (Naarm).

**ABOUT YOU**

To be successful in this role:

- Problem solving excites you. You can research, consider and synthesise many pieces of information from different sources, think creatively, coordinate the design of options/solutions, and achieve results.
- Your written and verbal communication skills are excellent, and you can adapt your messaging for a variety of audiences.
- High level of personal drive with enthusiasm, creativity and the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Strong relationship management skills, having experience in dealing with a range of stakeholders
- You have depth of experience in Line 1 operational risk roles, ideally within the insurances services industry, of at least 5 years.
