As a Compliance Specialist you will join the Risk Platform, into a team of risk and compliance professionals who guide teams to make risk-informed choices with confidence. Compliance is an integral part of the platform, supporting our teams by providing practical and straightforward tools and frameworks to assist in managing the wide-ranging regulatory requirements. We are also currently creating an insight-led approach and a data/automation strategy to provide a view on the compliance health of our Group.
**What you’ll do**:
- Identify opportunities for a data-driven compliance function, assist analysing compliance-related data, and identifying trends and insights
- Support the implementation of Woolworths’ GRC compliance module, and work closely with the legal team to maintain the most up to date obligations register
- Maintain Group Compliance’s presence through intranet and newsletters, and make presentations and Board / Committee reports representative of the high standard we set in terms of writing and visual appeal Help make our compliance learning suite (LTO (online and in person)) best in class
**What you’ll bring**:
Ideally, you will be an engaging and practical team player who is well-suited to a high-paced and complex retail business with a pragmatic and relationship oriented approach. You will have a passion for retail and will bring a fresh perspective, highlighting opportunities to successfully embed compliance across the Group.
- 3-5 years experience in a similar compliance or risk role
- Experience with regulatory change and understanding of legislation
- Strong communicator (verbal and written) able to build relationships leveraging your influencing skills
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills to meet deadlines Highly proactive with ability to take initiative, prioritise tasks and escalate where needed
