**Your new role**

The Procurement Support Officer performs a variety of purchasing activities for the NSW govt. ensuring cost-effective procurement to provide quality goods, services and equipment and maximum value for the agency.

Key accountabilities
- Perform a variety of purchasing tasks in accordance with statutory, legal and policy requirements, to provide quality goods, services and equipment
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and service providers
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive network and database of suppliers and service providers
- Provide administrative support for the maintenance of purchased equipment to ensure that equipment is in good working order when required
- Provide regular and ad hoc reports on procurement matters to support informed strategic and operational decision making

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Knowledge of NSW government procurement and supply policy and practice.
- Thorough knowledge of AIIMS principles and processes, and/or willingness to obtain competence within 12 months
