**THE ROLE - **TRANSPORT SUPERVISOR**

Due to internal movement, we are now seeking an excellent Transport Supervisor to join their operations to undertake a range of transport activities across the state.

**These activities will include but not be limited to**:
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Responsible for rostering fleet in accordance with allocation strategy, the clients’ needs and the volume of work, in collaboration with the team
- Execute appropriate recovery processes for escalations
- Ensure utilisation of routing software and capacity management systems
- Navigate routes, ensuring that all delivery impositions are anticipated and properly coordinated and resolved in a timely manner
- Identify and suggest process improvements that will contribute to efficiencies in routing optimisation within the Allocations team
- Responsible for driving a positive culture with the DP fleet by building effective and supportive relationships and ensuring responsive, open and positive communication, with all DP’s
- Responsible for participating in open communications with the team about DP performance observations
- Escalating clients and customers queries, in a timely manner to the CX team or in accordance with specific company processes
- Meeting the requirements of the Allocations Strategy pertaining to each client and continually improving on the average number of deliveries per DP, per day
- Familiarise yourself with the company procedures around safety and wellbeing.

**ESSENTIAL SKILLS**
- Demonstrated experience in industry or a similar role
- Transport Supervisor Experience
- Sound knowledge of defined state specific suburbs, demonstrating the ability to manage allocation and a solid understanding of FMS (Freight Management Systems) and routing software
- Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships
- Demonstrated experience in improving engagement levels demonstrating a good cultural fit with team, and customers.
- Demonstrated ability to respond in a rapidly evolving and pressured environment
- Ability to work co-operatively and effectively within the team and the organisation
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with conflicting demands simultaneously, solve problems, manage and
meet deadlines and maintain a high quality of work
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Strong customer experience focus and diplomacy in dealing with sensitive situations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving ability
