**About the Role**
The Accommodation & Community Services directorate encompasses a vibrant array of service portfolios that enrich and underpin community benefit at Curtin University. Each portfolio is tailored to support our diverse community of students, staff, community partners, and members of Greater Perth community. To make a difference, our mission is to foster a vibrant and inclusive university campus community by providing accessible, equitable, safe, and impactful services, experiences, memories, and opportunities.
To realise this mission, our Accommodation & Community Services directorate is undergoing transformational change and has developed strategies and core focus areas to guide us for the next three years.
Reporting to the Director, this role is responsible for helping us realise these strategic initiatives on time and budget. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for providing programme oversight of the key projects we aim to deliver in each portfolio, which include **Curtin Accommodation, Sport & Recreation, Health Services, Curtin Early Learning Centre, and Curtin’s St Georges Terrace Precinct**.
Collaborating closely with the senior leadership team, you will oversee and coordinate the seamless execution of projects that enrich the student experience and strengthen Curtin’s community service offerings.
This role requires strong project coordination skills, governance oversight, and a proactive approach to ensuring initiatives stay on track. You will work closely with senior leaders to ensure strategic plans are translated into actionable tasks, tracking progress and holding teams accountable. By facilitating meetings, managing reporting, and ensuring alignment across teams, you will be a key player in delivering impactful outcomes that benefit students, staff, and the wider community.
This position is available at a full-time, 2 year fixed term basis.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Support senior leaders by coordinating actionable tasks to ensure the successful delivery of strategic initiatives.
- Oversee and track project progress using digital tools to ensure alignment of projects with university priorities, working closely with internal teams to manage workflows effectively.
- Facilitate meetings, set clear expectations, and drive accountability among project teams and stakeholders.
- Identify and address challenges proactively, keeping initiatives on schedule and ensuring smooth execution.
- Provide structured oversight to ensure initiatives are actioned efficiently and deliver measurable impact.
**What You’ll Bring**
- Proven experience in project coordination, program management, or stakeholder engagement within a large complex organisation.
- Strong ability to translate strategic objectives into actionable tasks, ensuring initiatives are effectively executed.
- High-level organisation and time management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working in student accommodation, property management, facilities management, or community development initiatives within tertiary education or similar sectors.
- A proven ability to connect strategy, mission, and purpose to meaningful tasks and tactical objectives.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong report writing and problem-solving skills, ensuring effective governance and accountability.
- Demonstrated ability to drive accountability and keep teams aligned with project goals.
**Work Requirements**:

- Ability to work outside of normal office hours as required.
- Full working rights in Australia
- Regional WA, Interstate and/or overseas travel may be required
