Are you an experienced leader or manager within the sports industry? Do you have a passion for educating the next generation of leaders in conjunction with some of Queensland's most well-known sporting bodies? Have you considered sharing your knowledge and skills with future industry experts?
The Role
As an Academy of Sport Educator focussing on Leadership & Management, you will support quality learning for students who are interested in pursuing a career in sports management, game development and/or in a sporting administration roles.
This will involve delivering an accelerated dual diploma of leadership management and diploma of sports (coaching). Creating training programs and evaluating student performance along with providing effective feedback and guidance to leaders of the future.
To be successful in this role, you will require strong educational delivery and communication skills, as you will be working closely with students, industry partners and other members of the Academy of Sport Team. A strong understanding of the relevant sporting industry is required, as well as experience in developing and delivering training programs.
You will be responsible for keeping up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in leadership and management and the sports industry, and sharing this knowledge with your students and colleagues. You may also be required to participate in research projects, through collaboration with sporting organisations to promote and support student development opportunities.
We have multiple part-time and full-time temporary fixed-term opportunities available until 30 June 2025 (unless otherwise determined) across locations within the Brisbane Region.
These unique Educator positions will have a strong focus on Leadership and Management. Educators will not only deliver in the accelerated dual diploma of leadership management and sports management programs, they will also participate in:

- Developing the next generation of sports leaders and administrators
- Network and partner with tier 1 sporting organisations.
- Opportunities to develop Leaders, Managers and Coaches across multiple business functions.

These positions are based within our Corporate Commercial Delivery Team which delivers which provisions industry and commercial organisations with bespoke training and education solutions and the position reports to the Educational Team Leader.
Specialised Fields

- AFL
- Basketball
- Cricket
- Rugby League; and
- with links to the sports industry as a whole.

Salary
The salary range for a TAFE Queensland Teacher is $88,547.03 - $100,232.42 (gross) per annum, depending on educational qualifications held and teaching experience.

Mandatory Requirements
**Applicants must possess the following**:
Vocational competencies or higher level qualifications delivered and assessed in one or more of the following;
- SIS50321 - Diploma of Sport
- BSB50420 - Diploma of Leadership and Management
- BSB50120 - Diploma of Business

and/or equivalent industry qualifications and/or experience.
- Current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided;
- Current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that informs the training and assessment provided;
