Based in the Melbourne suburb of Montmorency we are looking for a team of Disability Support Workers to support our NDIS participant in both daily living activities and personal care and community participation. Our client is aged in their early 30’s, lives at home with family and attends several social and exercise activities through out the week.

Our client ambulates independently but has limited capacity for any great length of time and will sometimes rely on a manual wheelchair. Assistance with pushing the wheelchair is required.

We require empathetic and caring dedicated Disability Support Workers to attend various shifts throughout the week and some weekends.

Time duration of shifts vary between 2 to 6 hours and both mornings or afternoons are available.
- Responsibilities and Duties: -_

Your role will involve providing respectful support to include
- Personal care
- Meal preparation & occasional cooking
- Daily Living activities and routines
- Occasional help around the house
- Participate in social and community activities
- Occasional escorting to medical appointments
- Keep accurate records and complete progress notes
- Work within the 7 Elements of the NDIS Code of Conduct

Successful applicants may also be offered additional shifts with other clients in the Northern Melbourne suburbs.
- Qualifications & Experience: -_
- Relevant Qualifications in Disability. (min Cert. III)
- Minimum 1 years Industry working experience after qualification
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- NDIS E-Learning module Certificates
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
- Proof of all mandatory vaccinations incl Covid-19 (3 doses) and annual influenza
- Working with Children and Police Check Clearances
- Eligibility and the right to work in Australia
- Ability to provide care 1 to 1 ratio
- Experience understanding support plans
- Preferred experience working within the NDIS framework
- Must be proficient in both written and verbal English
- Drivers Licence
