**Lead Security Consultant**

The Lead Security Consultant will be a member of a major cyber security program.

The role will act as an advisor to all the cyber security initiatives within the program and will also require detailed technical skills to assist in the delivery of some initiatives.

You will act as the security conduit between the program, the Director of Cyber security operations, and the Chief Information Security Officer.

**Key accountabilities**:

- Develop and define specific project initiatives to support the execution of business cases.
- Develop and lead projects to ensure continuous improvement in cyber security posture.
- Identify stakeholder requirements, prioritise workload to meet agreed outcomes and timeframes to ensure prompt resolution of issues.
- Develop solutions and architectures to guide the implementation of projects.
- Implement and configure technologies to achieve the architectures you have defined.

**Key Challenges**:

- Effectively working on simultaneous cyber security initiatives and projects to required standards and timeframes, given the need to rapidly understand and integrate information and adapt in an often changing and unpredictable environment.
- Maintaining up to date knowledge and understanding of the current and future cyber security environment, including threats and vulnerabilities to information, assets and services, while managing competing priorities and outputs.
- Maintaining a delivery roadmap with the project management team to support the delivery of major initiatives within strict timeframes.

**Skills**
- **Self-driven and can demonstrate proficiency in planning, prioritising work streams and appropriately managing human and technology change.**:

- Advanced presentation skills including an ability to articulate complex technical issues.
- Day to day security operations experience as a security analyst or engineer and or certifications are highly regarded.
- Extensive technical experience across numerous security technologies and a demonstrated capacity to learn new technology quickly.
- **Experience with deploying and operating security tools or technology vendor certifications for**:

- Vulnerability management - Tenable or Qualys Suite
- Building and onboarding a PAM (Privileged Access Management) platform
- Deploying a WAF (Web Application Firewall) or proxy solution
- Cloud Security - O365, Azure and AWS (Amazon Web Services)
- Infrastructure management - AD (Active Directory), SCCM, Ansible
- Windows and Linux
- Scripting - Windows and Linux
