
Principal Cyber Security Awareness Officer

**The role**: No day is the same within the Cyber Security Group, you will work in a motivated and collaborative setting with internal business partners to innovatively uplift awareness and culture, support response to incidents and be responsive to emergent business needs on a daily basis.
The role provides an opportunity to influence the clinical, leadership and other business functions attitude to cyber security and adherence to information security requirements through engagement, awareness and cultural change initiatives and activities.
The successful applicant will proactively work with stakeholders across Queensland Health, in particular the teams involved in communications, fraud control and ethical standards, privacy and right to information and key program and governance stakeholders to help deliver broader eHealth and health system outcomes.
Are you right for this role?To secure this role you will be assessed on the following:
- Experience in developing and implementation of cybersecurity awareness (or similar) in a large, complex and geographically dispersed service delivery organisation.
- Understanding of the major trends, strategic directions and legislative and governance frameworks related to information security, with the capacity to successfully adopt them in the healthcare environment.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: Information, Security, Training, Cultural Change, Communication, Security Governance, Management, Incident Management.
- Highly developed research, analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills including the proven capacity to initiate appropriate strategic and operational responses to key issues affecting the enterprise.
- Demonstrated highly developed writing, interpersonal, presentation and consultation skills, with the ability to negotiate, influence and maintain effective relationships with senior and multi-disciplinary staff across networks and organisations.
- Demonstrated innovative and adaptive planning and delivery of programs and initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively and analytically and to work independently and in partnership with a multi-disciplinary team resulting in successful outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, utilise discretion, meet deadlines, establish priorities and work as an effective member of a team.
