About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to take charge of all maintenance operations at the company's Melbourne North facility. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you'll lead a small team and contractors, oversee plant and building services, and drive a shift from reactive to preventative maintenance.
This is a day shift role with occasional weekend work for essential shutdowns, and comes with the added benefit of an RDO each month.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a small maintenance team (fitter and toolmaker) plus contractors
- Implement preventative and predictive maintenance systems
- Plan, prioritise and respond to breakdowns and projects to minimise downtime
- Oversee utilities and services (compressors, chillers, HVAC, pumps, building maintenance)
- Manage budgets, spare parts and supplier relationships
- Ensure compliance with OHS, safety and quality standards
- Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives across the site
About You
- Trade qualified (mechanical fitter, toolmaker, electrical or similar)
- Proven maintenance leadership in a manufacturing setting
- Strong skills in hydraulics, pneumatics and factory services
- Hands-on, solutions-focused and able to balance technical work with supervision
- Organised, proactive, and confident in introducing new systems
- Experience with injection moulding machinery is desirable, not essential
