**The Client**

Alcoa of Australia are a global industry leader in bauxite, alumina and aluminium products. IMS Workforce (IMSW) provides technical services to Alcoa with our teams embedded across all Alcoa operations in Western Australia.

**The Role**

This role will see the Contractor Coordinator embedded into the Operating Centre’s (OC) to coordinate Contractors working with the OC at the Wagerup Refinery. This position is based on a 40hr week, Monday - Friday. Additional hours may be required.

**Responsibilities & Duties**
- Establish Alcoa Responsible Person (ARP) resource levelling plan within OC - sharing of ARP duties with OC
- Attend OC afternoon daily debrief and next shift job readiness meeting
- Validation of scaffold structures within OCs are required and reschedule removals as required
- Update the Work Execution Management Board daily with job progression
- Review the safe methods of work with the contractor and ensure they are to the appropriate standard
- Work with the contractor and the operations representatives to complete all job readiness pre-work activities and checks
- Notify the contractor they are OK to come to site to carry out the work
- Work with the contractor to understand all issues they have with safe work execution, work productivity, delays, variations and claims and develop actions to resolve
- Complete all Alcoa Responsible Person requirements of the Authority To Proceed
- Validate timesheets, contractor hours onsite and provided quotations/estimates
- Attend the weekday contractor management meeting and be able to discuss the pre-work readiness status of each contracting job that is planned to occur tomorrow and the jobs for the remainder of the week
- Complete actions developed at the weekday contractor management meeting

**Skills & Experience**
- Preference to Mining, Refining, Chemical plant industries
- Trade/degree qualifications relevant to the Refining Industry (electrical, mechanical, civil, insulation etc) preferred as a minimum though relevant Industry experience will be considered (Health & Safety, Operations etc)
- Previous management of Contractors/Trades desirable
