The Health Information Services (HIS) department is seeking highly motivated and excellent clerks to join our Richmond & Freemasons campus on a permanent full time or part-time or casual basis. Our operational business hours are from 08:00 am to 21:30 pm, Monday through to Friday. Please note, you will be required to work onsite in this position, there is no capability to support working from home in this role.

**Responsibilities/Duties**:

- Scanning paper-based patient medical records using the BOSSnet Digital Medical Record system.
- Answering telephone enquiries.
- Responding to information requests in accordance with the department’s release of information guidelines.
- Collecting, scanning and re-directing mail.
- Performing general department administration duties as required

**To be successful in this role**

**You will have**:

- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on meeting the needs of internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent time management and organisational skills in order to effectively coordinate the various processes and steps involved in the process
- Excellent organisational skills with a proven ability to prioritise workload effectively and meet deadlines
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with a professional telephone manner, and an ability to clearly and coherently convey relevant information to all stakeholders, both internal and external to Epworth
- Intermediate working knowledge of the Microsoft Outlook Suite (primarily Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Office)
- A solid work ethic, and an ability to work autonomously within a team in order to ensure all work is completed in a timely manner
- Proven high attention to detail and diligence to ensure correct patient information is released at all times
- Flexibility in a changing work environment with an openness to changing processes and procedures

**Desirable (non-essential)**:

- Previous experience in similar role
- Previous experience with a Patient Administration System (iPM, WebPAS, TrakCare) and a Scanned Medical Record (BOSSnet or CPF)
- Working knowledge of Medical Terminology

**Requirements when applying**:

- Full Time - Monday to Friday 0800-1606 (Richmond location)
- Part Time evening - 3 x 5 hr evening shifts 15:30 / 16:30 - 20:30 / 21:30 (Richmond location)
- Casual - Monday to Friday AM / PM (Richmond & Freemason location)
