**Your new company**

Our client is a Local Council North of Perth CBD that covers around 100 square kilometres and 6 kilometre stretch of coastline and they are looking for a Level 7 Strategic Environmental Health Officer for a 3 month temporary contract starting as soon as possible..

**Your new role**

As the Environmental Health Officer for the City, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining public, environmental health and environmental related services, programs and projects in accordance with statutory obligations, Business Plans, operational procedures and Council policies. Your responsibilities will include:

- Undertake various inspections.
- Maintain current and accurate record concerning inspections and activities.
- Collect evidence, make reports and recommendations on prosecutions and attend court when required
- Preparation of various reports and provision of advice to outside agencies as required
- Other duties related to the scope and level of the position.

**What you'll need to succeed**

As a successful applicant you will need the following qualifications and experience:

- A tertiary level qualification in Environmental Health, or related discipline.
- Ability to consistently demonstrate behaviours as outlined in the City's Competency Framework.
- Good interpersonal skills along with good decision making and sound judgement skills
- High level of knowledge of the relevant legislation and statutory process.
- Demonstrated experience with the use of sound level measuring equipment.
