We are seeking an experienced Grants Management and Finance Officer to join the team with a local Queensland Government Department located in Ipswich. This full time position is initially for 6 months with the possibility of a further extension.

**In this position you will**:

- Assist in the management of an external funding program to maximise programs, including but not limited to project identification, submission, development and acquittal.
- Assist in the provision of a specialist source of information relating to grant funded capital and operational partnerships and project delivery.
- Liaise with and provide strategic direction to internal and external stakeholders to ensure funding program is relevant to the Ipswich community and contributes to achieving Corporate Plan outcomes.
- Perform any other duties that are reasonably within the competency, skills and training of incumbent as may be directed from time to time by the position’s supervisor.

**To be successful in this role, applicants will need to have**:

- Great communications skills and work well in a small team
- Attention to detail including maintaining master spreadsheets
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Ideally (but not mandatory) an understanding of financial practices (eg acquittals)
