The Role

We have an exciting permanent full-time position available to join our Engineering Educational Delivery team at TAFE Queensland's Acacia Ridge Campus.

As a Teacher of TAFE Queensland, you will contribute to developing and delivering quality learning, teaching and assessment to a wide range of clients through:

- Outcome focussed vocational education and training (VET) programs;
- Linking with industry, schools, universities, community, other TAFE and VET providers;
- Maintaining currency with industry practices, workplace delivery and contemporary teaching methodologies and philosophies; and
- Working in an environment of ongoing change and continuous improvement.

This position reports to the relevant Business Manager.

Mandatory Requirements

Applicants must possess vocational competencies at least to the level being delivered and assessed;
MEM20422 Certificate II in Engineering Pathways

and preferably one of the following:
MEM30219 Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade (Fitting & Machining)

MEM31922 Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade (Boiler maker or Sheet Metal)

Possession of one of the following training and assessment credentials:

- TAE40116 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment;
- TAE40110 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment plus TAELLN411 Address Adult Language, Literacy and Numeracy Skills and TAEASS502 Design and Develop Assessment Tools;
- TAE50111 - Diploma of Vocational Education and Training;
- TAE50116 - Diploma of Vocational Education and Training; or its successor;
- TAE50211 - Diploma of Training Design and Development;
- TAE50216 - Diploma of Training Design and Development, or its successor;
- Higher-level qualification in adult education (approved by TAFE Queensland).

Current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided;
Current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that informs the training and assessment provided;
Evidence of undertaking professional development in the fields of the knowledge and practice of vocational training, learning and assessment including competency-based training and assessment.

Proof of qualifications and industry currency/experience to be provided at interview.
