The Head of DevOps will be responsible for overseeing the DevOps practice across Nuix, management of the centralized DevOps team, and improvement of the CI/CD build pipelines, build scripts, tests, security tooling, and release of code. They will lead the DevOps practice in streamlining deployments that can be released across multiple platforms in a unified tech stack. They will work to improve developer productivity with consistent tooling, practices, and compliance across all product lines. The Head of DevOps will also be part of the Nuix extended leadership team. **Key Responsibilities**: - Manage and lead a team of local DevOps Engineers as part of the wider global team, including personal development, professional growth and identifying career pathways of team members. - Mentoring and technical assistance to junior team members and wider team. - Develop and mature the DevOps practice through the construction of a "safety culture" within the company - Developing security monitoring, incident response tools and reporting frameworks. - Take ownership of, and drive improvements to, shared platforms: - CI/CD tools, Configuration management, AWS networking infrastructure, Security, Logging and monitoring, Cost engineering, Security scanning - Maintain and upkeep operational excellence across Nuix environments. - Identify and own opportunities to simplify or automate systems and processes ***Qualifications & Experience**: - Tertiary qualification in Computer Science or related field, or relevant experience. - Demonstrated team management experience. - Experience working in both a distributed and central DevOps model. - Advanced level capabilities as pertains to all phases of testing within the SDLC. - Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, terraform and helm. - Configuration Management Experience. (Puppet, Chef or Vagrant preferred) - Experience with CI/CD platforms, particularly Jenkins - Experience with building installation packages, docker containers & registries - Familiarity with Java, Python, Ruby, Groovy, Scala, Bash, and PowerShell - Exceptional communication and negotiation skills with both internal and external stakeholders, and in incident responses - Proven record of up-time, understanding HA, SLA management, Change Control workflows. - Demonstrate ability to solve complex problems. - Deep financial understanding of cloud compute - Demonstrated experience in running successful infrastructure projects to completion. - Ability to thrive in a fast paced, agile environment. - Commitment to work collaboratively & cross functionally **_Desirable:_** - Splunk, DynamoDB and experience with messaging platforms - Hacker mentality - understand how things actually work under the bonnet and not be scared Nuix is on an incredible journey of transformation, aligning our strengths with our ambitions to pursue greater opportunities.
