Our client is not just any IT service provider; they specialise in supporting the Architecture and Design industry, offering you the ability to gain specialist skills and knowledge, particularly in supporting 3D drawing software (Building Information Management (BIM)). You will have the ability to use the general knowledge and skills you have, whilst learning and developing specialist skills that will set you up with a strong career.

You will learn from great mentors whilst also being empowered to develop in areas you want to specialize in over time.
Support hours run between 8 am to 6 pm, so you will be able to work your 8 hours between these times as rostered, enabling you to maintain reasonable working hours and a great work/life balance. With an office is located near Melbourne Central, getting to work is a breeze and you have lots of options for lunch and post-work activities.
**About the Role**:
This role requires both technical and people skills. You will need to have the right approach from a people and technical mindset to work through things calmly and logically. A calm, patient customer service approach with good communication is key.
Day-to-day overview:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as software updates and system backups.
- Maintain and monitor network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to resolve complex technical issues.
- Maintain accurate records of all client interactions and support requests.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
**About you**:
You will either have experience as a level 1 or be looking to get into your first IT role. You may have done a related certificate or just have a general interest in computers.
This is the perfect role for someone who loves playing with computers, has had a good foundation in a customer service role, whether that is working at Mcdonald's, a café or even a call centre and wants to build a career in IT.
You will be self-motivated and a good team player and be driven by learning new things, solving problems and helping people.
Ideally, you will have:
- Some experience with IT systems and computers
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Potentially 1-2 years of experience in a technical support role.
- Strong understanding of hardware and software troubleshooting and repair.
- Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows, MacOS, and Linux.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- A natural passion for problem-solving and an analytical mindset
- Excellent attention to detail
- Potentially experience with remote access tools and protocols.
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ is a plus.
