The Brisbane Produce Market is Queensland's only central fruit and vegetable market, and the state's most important centre for the wholesale marketing and distribution of fresh fruit and vegetables. It records an annual trade in excess of 700 million kilograms of produce valued at more than $2 billion.

As a representative of these employers, Brismark is currently searching for an experienced person in Warehousing/transport who also has Quality Control experience in fresh produce, to work for a successful Wholesale business.

This business is one of the leading secondary wholesalers in the fruit and vegetable industry and has long existing relationships with both their suppliers and the businesses to which they are supplying. The role requires the successful applicant to receive, assess and process produce as it is delivered into the warehouse, and make some deliveries within the market.

The successful applicant must:

- Possess a good knowledge of fruit and vegetables
- Be available for **early starts (1.00am)**, and some weekend work
- Be physically fit and able to stand for long periods of time
- Be reliable, enjoy working as part of a team, and possess excellent communication skills
- Hold a **current drivers licence** with own transport
- Possess sound maths ability and good English skills
- Be well presented
- Have previous experience in a quality control position
- Possess a **forklift licence**:

- Have basic computer skills

**Salary**: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Night shift

**Experience**:

- Warehouse distribution: 2 years (required)
- Quality Control: 2 years (preferred)
- Fresh Produce: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Forklift Licence (preferred)
- Driver's Licence (required)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)
