As an Employment Mentor, you will play a pivotal role in guiding individuals towards successful career outcomes.
**Responsibilities**:
- Provide one-on-one mentorship and coaching to individuals seeking employment, including job seekers, career changers, and recent graduates.
- Conduct assessments of clients' skills, strengths, and areas for improvement to tailor mentoring plans.
- Develop personalized career development plans that align with each client's aspirations and the demands of the job market.
- Assist clients in crafting impactful resumes, cover letters, and online profiles that showcase their qualifications effectively.
- Offer guidance on job search strategies, networking techniques, and interview preparation.
- Identify and address barriers to employment, such as skill gaps or lack of confidence, and develop strategies to overcome them.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, job market dynamics, and changes in hiring practices.
**Qualifications**:
- Proven experience in Aboriginal Mentoring, Employment, Training, and education.
- Strong knowledge of various industries, job roles, and the skills required for success.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and motivate clients.
- Empathetic and patient approach to understanding individual needs and challenges.
- Familiarity with resume-building, job search strategies, interview preparation, and professional networking.
- Ability to adapt to changing job market trends and effectively convey this information to clients.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple clients and tasks simultaneously.
- Current Driver's License
- WWCC
- National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
