About the role
The key functions and expected delivery of the Clinical Nurse Consultant - Regional Adversity Integrated Care Clinician (CNC-RAICC) will be:

- Co-ordination of a collaborative service response:

- assist people experiencing mental health conditions associated with drought, and other adverse events to receive comprehensive and coordinated support
- integrated clinical care and community support
- development of networks, referral pathways and partnerships between the Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drug (MHAOD) service, non-government organisations (NGOs) and other community health service providers
- Provide training, support and resourcing for frontline workers who may be at risk of mental health issues and come in contact with people who are at risk of suicide or are experiencing mental health issues
- Delivery of mental health promotion, prevention, and early intervention strategies at both an individual and community level to reduce the stigma associated with mental illness
- Collaborate with key agencies to develop networks and resources to build community connectedness
- Be involved in research, service development and clinical governance activities related to mental health issues

About you
- Demonstrated high level of knowledge, expertise, and skill in the provision of clinical services for adults with complex presentations related to acute stress/trauma experiences.
- Demonstrated high level skills in engaging with the range of stakeholders within the community to deliver a flexible and responsive mental health service.
- Demonstrated ability to provide clinical services in a specialist area of clinical practice with a high degree of independence and capacity to adapt or modify practice to meet complex and high intensity consumer and carer needs.
- Demonstrated ability to initiate, monitor and evaluate service unit initiatives and provide a high level of clinical supervision and advice to Unit and service managers within a specialised area of practice.

**Mandatory Requirements**:

- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
