**About the Role**

Our Security Officer roles are primarily based at Gosford Hospital, with the flexibility to work at Wyong Hospital as required. This is a rotating roster position covering seven days, including day, night, and weekend shifts, providing variety and the opportunity to support hospital operations around the clock.

As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for delivering prompt and effective responses to security and emergency situations across the hospital buildings and grounds. Your work will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors, in accordance with established hospital policies and procedures.

The role involves both the protection of individuals and the prevention of property loss or damage. While previous experience in a healthcare setting is beneficial, it is not essential. We are looking for a committed and proactive security professional with a strong focus on safety, service, and teamwork, who is ready to make a meaningful contribution to our hospital community.

**About You**
- You hold a current 1A Security Licence, First Aid Certificate, and an unrestricted Driver’s Licence.
- You demonstrate strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to stay calm under pressure and communicate effectively with staff, patients, and visitors at all levels.
- You are physically capable and confident in managing aggressive individuals within a healthcare environment, prioritising safety and professionalism.
