**Food Services Manager - Casey Hospital (Berwick)**

**Full-time permanent position**

**Our Journey**:
Support Services is responsible for the provision of non-clinical services that includes food services, patient support, porters, cleaning, linen, pest control, central production kitchen, waste management, car parking, hygiene services and some retail services.

Our food services team across all our facilities includes our central production facility, three major acute hospitals and residential aged care services facilities. Together we strive to develop and improve the patient food service experience in the public health setting.

**Casey Food Services**:
Our Casey food services team provide services to a culturally diverse patient base in a busy acute health setting with over 390 inpatient beds, a major emergency department and mental health facility.

The Food Services Manager reports into the Support Services Manager, Casey hospital and is supported by a broader team of people culture & finance business partners, and food services managers across multiples sites.

**A Day in the Life**:
The Food Services Manger at Casey is an essential member of our leadership team responsible for leading our food services team in our pursuit to provide an exceptional patient and employee experience. Working with team members at all levels, the Food Services Manager is accountable for:

- Food Safety program compliance,
- Budget and employee management and
- Overall department performance.

In this important role you will be responsible for:

- Providing support and leadership to the food services team
- Achieving and maintaining the highest standards in food safety
- Leading our services in our pursuit of exceptional patient and employee experiences
- Working closely with departmental heads and teams to drive service excellence.

**On a personal level**:

- Excellent verbal and written skills
- A proactive approach and team players
- A high standard of demonstrated experience in customer service for a large complex organisation.

**What You Need**:

- A minimum of three year's experience as a Manager in a medium to large organisation
- Experience in a managerial role in a medium to large organisation
- Exceptional leadership skills to ensure amazing patient and employee experience
- Imagination, positive attitude and motivational approach in facilitating change and adopting new concepts.
- An ability to engage with key stakeholders to deliver high qualtiy food services.
- A passion for food and delivering exceptional customer services
- Intermediate computer skills

**In addition the following would be beneficial however are not essential**:

- ** Current Food Safety Supervision* - For Community Services and Health Industries**:

- ** Detailed knowledge of quality systems, ideally HACCP**
