**_C&K Herston Road Long Day Care_**, we are very lucky to have a natural outdoor area that provides children with an outlet to explore, engage and supports motor development. The children have a large natural space to be adventurous. Because we are so close to the Queensland University or Technology (QUT) we endeavor to build that community partnership and take excursions to their library, football fields and their newly developed picnic areas around the campus.
Our Centre is currently looking for an experienced and qualified _Assistant Educator_ to join their team. As the Assistant, you would be responsible for implementing a quality care and education program in co-operation with the Group Leader.
We offer a holistic approach to high quality education. This includes, not just learning but also building meaningful relationships to ensure that children feel safe, secure and supported. This centre will specialise in nature pedagogy and will have bright and natural spaces which include modern and natural outdoor play spaces featuring mud play, sand pits, a dry creek with pumping water and a nature reserve for the children to explore.
**About you**
An experienced early childhood Educator, you will be energetic, fun, passionate and committed to supporting and guiding children’s learning and development. You will have the following:
- Certificate lll qualification in early childhood (qualification must be recognised by ACECQA); or enrolled and actively working towards
- Current First Aid, CPR and Asthma & Anaphylaxis certification
- Hold or willing to obtain a paid Blue Card
- Previous experience working with children
- Passion for creating and delivering a simulating learning environment
- An understanding of the provision of a safe, well planned indoor and outdoor learning environment
- Skilled with documenting observations of children's behaviour and development, in the form of learning stories
- An ability to implement a planned program, in collaboration with the Room Leader ensuring the needs of individual children and the group are met
