About the Organisation
Care Aid Australia is a registered NDIS provider with a focus in supporting people living independently in SIL accommodation.
We are expanding, hence the need for a seasoned Human Resource manager to assist with manging the growing staff database and complaince. In addition to your HR roles, you will support the organisation in an Admin capacity.

About the Role
Based in Chadstone, 4 days a week in the office. The primary purpose of the Human Resources Manager is to develop and maintain HR processes and systems which ensure compliance with workplace legislation and create the conditions for making Care Aid Australia an ‘Employer of Choice’.
**Responsibilities**:
- Manage recruitment and onboarding processes from advertising vacancies through to induction for new and existing roles across the organisation.
- Develop, implement and continuously improve HR documentation and HR systems including staff record keeping, position descriptions, policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant workplace legislation, OHS regulations and NDIS Commission standards
- Maintain a detailed understanding of the evolving disability sector in which IDS operates, with a particular focus on HR/IR considerations as the organisation navigates change
- Supporting Senior Managers by providing up-to-date advice and communications to manage day to day HR matters to ensure compliance with relevant workplace legislation
- Plan, develop and implement all activities related to the full spectrum of the employee journey with IDS from onboarding through to offboarding including, but not limited to
- Ensuring induction and orientation programmes are developed and delivered for all employees
- Developing and implementing a performance review system
- Managing WorkCover obligations including support of injured staff and Return To Work planning
- Ensuring an appropriate Employee Assistance Program is in place and its effectiveness reviewed
- Establishing and maintaining training and compliance registers and coordinating the logisitics of external and internal training
- Undertake the role of IDS COVID Officer
- Assist the IDS Leadership Team in maintaining strong engagement across both office and outreach workforces
What we need
- Experience working across multiple disciplines of Human Resources
- Passion for recruitment and track record of improving recruitment and selection processes
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation including OHS
- Strong business writing skills with experience developing and implementing HR documentation including workplace policies and procedures
- Ability to support managers with practical advice for urgent and/or complex HR matters
- Well organised and driven self-starter
- High levels of Emotional Intelligence
**In addition to the above list all staff of IDS need to comply with the following Mandatory Requirements**:
- National Criminal History Check
- Working with Children Check
- Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- NDIS Screening Check
**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: $35.00 - $42.00 per hour
**Education**:
- Diploma (preferred)
**Experience**:
- Administration: 1 year (preferred)
- NDIS-Specific: 1 year (required)
- Human resources management: 1 year (required)
