Choice Support Tasmania is looking for support workers in the Hobart and surrounding areas.

**The role may involve**:

- Assistance with community access and recreational activities
- Personal care (showering, toileting, and personal hygiene assistance)
- Manual handling and/or the use of equipment to support mobility (wheelchairs or hoists)
- Transportation and supporting social engagement
- Domestic duties such as meal preparation and cleaning
- Willingness to learn to become the best Support Worker
- Willingness to support people with Mental Health and Complex Behaviours
- Prepared to undergo training for the use of a Hoist, PEG Feeding and Epilepsy Management
- Flexible availability
- Willing to travel and do sleepovers

**Essential criteria**:

- An understanding of the disability/community services sector and person-centred support
- Transferable life/work skills along with a caring and compassionate approach
- A valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle
- NDIS Worker Screening Check or ability to obtain
- The legal right to work in Australia
- Excellent communication skills
- A genuine interest in the wellbeing & inclusion of people with disabilities

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $33.96 - $43.08 per hour

Expected hours: 1 - 38 per week

- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- National Police Certificate (preferred)
- Driver Licence (required)
- Working with Vulnerable People Registration (required)
