JOB TITLE AND TYPE: Optical & Sales Assistant, PT or FT

LOCATION: Adrenaline Optometry Terrigal

SUPERVISOR/MANAGER: Managing Optometrist & Practice Manager

ABOUT THE ROLE:
Previous experience as a Retail Assistant or Optical Assistant is required for this position. You should have fantastic organisation and communication skills, able to work effectively in a team, and thrive on working to the values at Adrenaline Optometry.

This is a hybrid role, and you would be responsible of various of tasks and duties from opening to closing of the day.

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Provide friendly and efficient customer service and general practice retail skills ie greeting customers, answering questions, assist customers choose frames, discuss lenses options etc
- Selling plano and prescription optical and sunglasses to customers. with Ie progressive lenses, single vision lenses, bifocal lenses, coatings, transitions, tints and polarised options
- Dispensing duties to ensure the very best patient experience ie measure PD and heights and processing all patient orders
- Take payment electronically or via cash
- Process, expedite and arrange shipping on online orders
- Maintain a high level of housekeeping in the practice including overall presentation and cleanliness
- Complete administration duties including, booking patient appointments & follow up appointments, maintain inventory of frames and contact lenses
- You will work to all practice policies and healthcare guidelines
- Able to work Saturdays

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 12 months of retail or sales experience within a retail environment
- Self-assured individual with the confidence to take initiative and make decisions for the customer
- Experience working effectively in a team environment as well autonomously under limited supervision
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail
- The ability to build genuine and supportive relationships with patients, networks and colleagues
- Experience with EFTPOS or Hicaps machine
- Great sense of fashion with eyewear and colour to suit patient needs
- Willingness to work in a team with a positive can-do attitude

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $25.65 - $35.19 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 38 per week
