**Job Summary**

We are looking for a driven and self-starter to become a Foreman (Civil Commercial) at Appia. You will assist the Project Engineer to ensure the project is easily completed on time and to client requirements. As the leader on-site for the project, you will be:

- overseeing and coordinating operational staff.
- ensuring subcontractors complete work to required standards and proficiently.
- providing regular feedback to Project Engineers on the development of the project.

You will need to be able to form and foster relationships with multiple stakeholders.

**About you**

Desired Knowledge:

- Technical knowledge of civil engineering (advantageous)
- Practical & relevant working knowledge of construction equipment (excavators, etc.)
- Experience in commercial civil contracting; roads and pavements, VicRoads infrastructure, basements, concrete structure, foundations, earthworks, etc.
- A strong understanding of OHS requirements of the construction industry

Desired Skills
- Problem-solving, analytical thinking and decision making.
- Planning and organisation with the ability to multi-task and prioritise work.
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills to converse with people from a variety of backgrounds.
- Capable of reading and interpreting structural drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
- Able to work autonomous, without constant guidance from senior management
- Good document control management, with a focus on, Quality, Environmental, and Safety documentation.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year

**Experience**:

- Construction: 5 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Full Driver Licence (required)
- White Card (required)
