Kurbingui Youth & Family Development is a not-for-profit Aboriginal community-controlled organisation.

Established in 2001, we have continued to grow in the number of services delivered to the community in areas such as employment and training, family support, domestic and family violence, alcohol and substance abuse, cultural education and engagement, support targeting successful educational outcomes for families and children and young people from preschool to tertiary, recreation and sports, early years, youth, women and men, cultural group activities, social, emotional well-being - suicide prevention, crisis response and treatment and health and nutrition.

**The role**

This is a key senior administrative and support position providing a high level of professionalism and customer service to both internal and external customers. The Senior Administration Officer is a key point of contact that will provide confidential administrative assistance and will work collaboratively with the Chief Executive Officer, Operations Manager and senior management team.

**Responsibilities**

This position will support and oversee the administration team whilst managing the following:

- Asset management, including fleet management
- Support diary management of leadership team
- Finance support
- HR support
- Office management
- Support administrative systems and processes
- Continuous improvement
- Quality Assurance
- Maintenance of organisational systems and processes

**To be successful in the role, you will (Key Selection Criteria)**:

- Identify as an Aboriginal & or Torres Strait Islander person (desirable).
- Have an understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures and societies and the issues which impact upon them in contemporary society.
- Previous experience in a similar role at executive assistant level. Desirable - within a community service, NFP environment; especially within the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.
- Experience and/or understanding of fleet, accounts/finance and human resources processes.
- Computer literacy in a variety of software packages. For example, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- High level of communication skills - written, verbal an interpersonal.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong time management skills and attention to detail, using initiative to proactively resolve routine issues independently and follow tasks through to completion accurately and within deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team environment as well as the ability to work independently.
- Willing and able to work within a culturally competent context and Kurbingui Youth and Family Development’s mission, vision and values.
- Experience leading a team of administration staff to exceed in their roles.
- Willing to undertake a National Police History check.

**Qualifications/Certifications**
- Certificate IV in Business Administration or similar or equivalent relevant professional experience.
