**About the Role**

**Location**: Leichhardt, NSW

You will report directly to the General Manager - People and Culture and play a key role in shaping our HR practices and advancing our commitment to diversity and inclusion. You’ll manage day-to-day HR responsibilities, ensuring compliance, supporting employee relations, and overseeing HRIS systems, while also leading our RD&I strategy. Your mission is to foster a positive, inclusive, and compliant workplace that supports our employees across NSW.

HR Responsibilities**:

- Address employee concerns, manage conflicts, and provide HR guidance
- Oversee employee relations, performance reviews, disciplinary matters, and leave arrangements
- Administer employee benefits, payroll, and HR-related processes
- Maintain employee records and HR databases to ensure compliance
- Support the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
- Facilitate training and development programs to enhance employee growth
- Conduct exit interviews and analyze data to improve retention
- Produce weekly and monthly HR reports Handle ad hoc HR duties as needed
- ** RD&I Responsibilities**:

- Promote a culture of reconciliation, diversity, and inclusion across the organization
- Design, implement, and evaluate RD&I programs, including the Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) and LGBTQIA+ initiatives
- Facilitate diversity awareness training for staff and managers
- Analyze workforce data to measure the impact of RD&I initiatives and report to senior management
- Collaborate with various teams to develop inclusive transport services and improve staff training
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including diversity and ATSI partners

**About You**
- Proven experience in HR and Diversity and Inclusion roles
- Solid understanding of HR practices, employment laws, and diversity and inclusion best practices
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and deliver under pressure
- Analytical skills to assess data and measure the effectiveness of HR and RD&I initiatives
- Proficiency in MS Office and HR software
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred)
- Passion for equity, diversity, inclusion, and human rights
- A collaborative spirit and ability to build positive relationships with diverse stakeholders
