**The Company**

This well-respected global logistics service provider renowned for providing professional customer focussed logistics services and transportation solutions are sourcing an experienced Import Operations Specialist to join their successful operation. The role will be part of an experienced and capable team where they service high profile FMCG customers who move high volumes of freight into the country.

This role has it all, from operational duties to customer interaction, reporting and billing. This position will challenge and extend your experience in imports to ensure you are well placed for a long term career path in this industry

**The Role**
- Manage all aspects of Import Freight functions from job registration through to final delivery.
- Entering of import data information such as AQIS requirements into the in-house system with efficiency, accuracy and speed in order to process shipments in a prompt manner.
- Lodge specific customs data for automation upload requirements to ensure efficient shipment release times.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders such as customs and transport companies in regard to ensuring the shipment is processed in a timely manner
- Complete all invoicing related functions within required time frames

**Requirements**:

- Experience in Import Freight Operations in freight forwarding is mandatory
- Competency in using industry software programs including the ability to assess and interpret data provided electronically
- Ability to work well under pressure within a fast-paced environment
- Self-starter with ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
- Ability to effectively interact with all internal/external stakeholders to facilitate professional movement of all shipments
- Focused on ensuring compliance & adhering to operational regulations
- Customer and solutions focused with ability to prioritise and time-manage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
