**The Role**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Greeting patients
- Scheduling and managing appointments
- Answering telephone calls and enquiries
- Creating and maintaining patient records
- Taking messages and conveying information accurately
- Mailing, faxing and scanning
- Private patient billing/payments using EFTPOS
- Medicare and DVA claims
- Balance daily receipts
- Opening and closing of practice
- General administrative duties
- Re-stocking and cleaning doctor's rooms

**Key Selection Criteria**
- Previous experience in a medical reception role essential
- Experience with Best Practice Clinical Software
- Familiarity with daily opening and closing procedures
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Professional telephone manner with clear verbal skills
- High standard of personal integrity to maintain patient/doctor confidentiality
- Excellent computer skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise in a busy environment
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Availability to work holiday relief and sick cover, including some Saturday mornings
