**Essential Criteria**:
- Excellent management and administrative skills
- Excellent implementation, knowledge and strong monitoring knowledge of Training packages, VET standards, National Code, ESOS Act and WHS and other legislations.
- Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills with attention to detail
- Strong ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
- Excellent personal organisational skills, time management and IT skills
- Up to date knowledge of current VET industry and training methodologies
- Appropriate TAE qualifications
- Strong vocational related experience
- Overview and responsibilities:
Working as the Academic Manager (VET) for all vocational programs, the Academic Manager will have a very strong influence on the selection of staff and composition of programs at all levels.
**The Academic Manager will**:
- Ensure that the ANE College meets the academic and welfare requirements of students, staff and government regulatory bodies.
- At all times, must maintain student's privacy, as per ANE College policy, and not release any student information to third party without student consent.
- Is responsible for monitoring student academic progress, intervention, and support of student's progress, ensure student attendance is adequate and intervene when necessary.
- involved in all aspects of internal and external audits.
- Manages continuous improvement by collecting and analysing surveys, such as assessment unit survey, student satisfaction survey, trainer survey, staff survey and orientation survey as per annual calendar and reporting results to PEO (senior ANE College management)
- Together with the PEO optimize financial management and the utilization of ANE College resources and staff
- Establish and maintain company and Australian National Education College standards, policies and procedures
- Define and promote strategies, policies and actions that encourage detailed collection and recording of student academic and administrative information including assessments; meeting the requirements of AQF and National Code compliance standards.
- Oversee day-to-day operational management of staff and students
- Monitor and evaluate curriculum delivery; regularly manage and evaluate all teaching staff.
- Recruit qualified staff as per VET standards.
- Partake in the development of appropriate curriculum, content and assessment materials; monitor, validate and moderate training materials.
- Meet staff and students to collect feedback for continuous improvement.
- Ensure the Academic Manager's annual task action list is completed regularly.
- Maintain compliance with the regulatory bodies requirements.
