About the Role

The PR and Communications Manager is responsible for driving brand awareness and position for Bared Footwear both locally and internationally. This includes all media relations, influencer management, internal and external communications, communications calendar management, partnerships/collabs and events.
- Manage all internal and external communications, from strategy through to execution
- Drive the public relations function; media relations, influencer/stylist management, seeding, events, press release writing and distributing, exclusive pitching, tracking and reporting
- Consolidate brand messaging to be used through all channels; fashion first, comfort always, committed to sustainable innovation
- Improve education and engagement with store teams and the broader employee base through strong internal communications
- Oversee the social media strategy and sign off on all social strategy and content
- Track and report on all PR and social media activity, ensuring ROI and that deliverable are met
- Identify industry led PR opportunities, founder interviews and public speaking etc.
- Identify and secure partnership/collab opportunity to elevate brand positioning
- Representing the business for external engagements - public speaking, media moments, hosting guests etc.

Skills & Expertise
- Proven experience leading and executing the PR, communications and social strategy within retail (women’s fashion ideally)
- Experience leading PR and influencer strategy in different regions globally (ideally US), working with agency partners
- Exceptional communications skills (verbally, written) and presentation skills
- Confidence and proven success in pitching and securing media coverage and features
- The ability to identify media/influencer worthy angles to ensure consistent brand awareness and positioning
- Excellent professional and personal network of media and influencers
- Have the finger on the pulse for the latest trends, social platforms, key opinion leaders
- Experience leading and mentoring 1+ team members
- Some content production skills ideally
