**About Us**
Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission.

The Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV) is a jurisdiction within the Court Services Victoria statutory authority and has a long history of providing justice for the people of Victoria in metropolitan and regional courts across the state. The Court determines in excess of 300,000 cases per annum at 51 venues, equating to approximately 90 percent of all cases that come before Victorian courts each year. The Court aims to be an innovative, accessible, and responsive court that provides quality services to the Victorian community. The role is based at Dandenong Magistrates' Court.
**About the Role**
The Registrar manages all court operations and is responsible for providing leadership to all staff employed within the court complex. This role ensures all legal, quasi-judicial and administrative functions are provided in accordance with the various Acts, Rules and Regulations across all relevant jurisdictions. A major focus of the role will be to lead and manage staff in a complex judicial environment with competing demands whilst ensuring that the functions and services are appropriately resourced and delivered in line with the Court's business objectives. Working collaboratively with the Senior Registrar, the Registrar will play a pivotal role in initiating, building and maintaining key stakeholder relationships, providing high level authoritative advice to the Chief Magistrate, Chief Executive Officer, judiciary, staff and court users and participating and contributing to the Court's strategic planning and direction. The Registrar will also work with the Principal Registrars of VoCAT, Children's, County and Supreme Courts to manage those jurisdictions, where relevant, and participate in the management of programs and initiatives within the region. This role is also responsible for managing the registry functions, the maintenance and security of all court buildings and facilities. It therefore requires knowledge of the administrative requirements of all jurisdictions, operational management experience and sound judgement.
