**About the role**

We are building our team and actively recruiting across multiple roles and locations and are now looking for a skilled and dedicated Cyber Operations Analyst to join our cybersecurity team in Australia. As a Cyber Operations Analyst, you will be responsible for monitoring, analysing, and reporting on cyber assessments. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.

**Key responsibilities**
- Conduct real-time threat analyses.
- Utilize security tools such as NESSUS, Qualys, Microsoft endpoint protection and penetration testing and analyse security threats.
- Help clients understand the severity of vulnerabilities in an easy-to-understand non-tech language and subsequently helping them prioritise remediation working closely with IT and network teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement security controls, mitigation, and fixing vulnerabilities.
- Risk assessment and quantification to assess cyber risk posture using proprietary software.
- Perform excel modelling and analyses to conduct risk scoring and overall scoring across different cyber attributes.
- Conduct cyber compliance assessment of business practices against industry standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, Essential 8, Privacy Act and CPS 234
- Stay up to date with the latest cyber threats, Vulnerability management techniques, OWASP Top 10 and industry trends around newly identified threats or Zero Day Vulnerabilities
- Analyse and provide recommendations for improving the organization's cybersecurity defences based on threat intelligence and analysis.
- Work with customer IT teams to run cyber scanning and assessment using proprietary platform and vendor tools.
- Work with central IT team to setup internal cyber security processes and policies

**Qualifications & experience**
- 1-5+ years’ post graduate experience in cybersecurity and technology delivery.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, cybersecurity, or a related field; relevant certifications are a plus.
- Proficiency in conducting analysis and forensics using network traffic analysis, log analysis, and threat intelligence sources.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as NIST, PCIDSS, ISO 27001, Essential 8
- Ability to work nights and weekends during a crisis event, flexibility to work as per business requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
- MS excel modelling, PowerPoint, and Visio experience preferable.
- Ability to work independently with little guidance in a fast-paced time pressure environment.
- Results driven, action-oriented individual with time management and planning skills.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams in different industries and countries.

**Salary**: $61,110.76 - $100,000.00 per year
