**The Opportunity**
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Grant Support Officer to join our dynamic Research Development team on a part-time basis.
Working with the Research Development team at The Kids Research Institute Australia and reporting to the Research Development Adviser (Strategic Funding), this role is integral in providing research grants administration and assisting with development support.
Your duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Working with researchers to ensure high-quality, timely, and compliant grant submissions.
- Building and maintaining relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders, including researchers, funding bodies and our university partners.

To be successful in the role you will possess the following:
- A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in the higher education or research sector.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong editing abilities and the capacity to interpret complex information and communicate it clearly to diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A service-oriented approach with the ability to work both independently and proactively, and as part of a team.
- Strong computer skills, confidence learning new systems, and navigating databases and online systems.
- Comprehensive knowledge of national and state competitive health research grant opportunities, in particular NHMRC and ARC is highly desirable.
