**Responsibilities**:
**Major Accountabilities/Principal Responsibilities**:
**Primary responsibilities include**:
- Preparing, customizing, optimizing and maintaining the financial model supporting advisory mandates, including creating and running financial scenarios and sensitivities
- Interrogating the financial model for financing mandates including creating and running of sensitivities and checking integrity
- Ability to review and, where appropriate, supervise financial modelling tasks undertaken by junior staff, and completing more complex modelling tasks where required.
- Staying abreast of developments across sectors, in particular Mining & Metals finance, as well as current transactions and opportunities in the market
- Respecting all relevant compliance practices and other internal requirements in relation to the execution of advisory & lending transactions
- Identifying potential marketing opportunities and preparing pitch material (including reviewing feasibility studies, detailed analysis of financial models, etc.)
- Starting to establish a network of contacts at key clients and prospective clients
- Supervision / development of junior team members including appropriate delegation and review of certain tasks suitable to the skills and experience of those junior team members whilst maintaining a high quality of overall team execution
**Profile required**:
**Qualifications, Experience & Knowledge Required**:
- University degree in a relevant discipline (Finance, Engineering, Business, Commerce, Law) or a professional financial qualification
- Post graduate qualifications considered favorably
- Experience in Mining & Metals finance and sector knowledge, and/or another structured finance environment utilizing similar tools, processes and procedures will also be favorably considered
- 3-5 years’ relevant experience
- Advanced Microsoft Excel including strong financial modelling skills
- Experience in generating pitch material that is clear, structured, compelling, and comprehensive in addressing clients’ needs
- Strong numerical skills with an advanced understanding of accounting concepts, financial statements and cashflows
