**the Role**
Responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of day to day operations of the Quality and Food Safety System (QMS) in order to comply with legislative (including Trade Measurement Laws and Export Acts)

**Critical Skills and Experience Required**
- Extensive previous experience in food processing and distribution.
- Knowledge of food science / related agricultural science/ safety or relevant industry experience and training (must include HACCP, SQF and GMP).
- Excellent leadership skills including conflict resolution and problem solving.
- Current state drivers’ licence.
- Excellent people and communication skills, both written and oral
- Knowledge of all processes within scope of the role.
- Ability to make quick and correct decisions “on the job” and long-term decisions.
- Well-developed problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to achieve departmental targets.
- Knowledge of all relevant guidelines.
- Experience in or knowledge of further processing and how it can impact on legal requirements in terms of food safety and quality risks
