Over the 30 years we have grown to offer a wide range of specialised services, with more than 25 depots across Australia, we are ideally positioned to provide exceptional vehicle transport services to both individuals and OEM customers.
Based in Altona North and within our National Claims team, this position involves managing all insurance claims and legal proceedings in conjunction with appointed insurer, assisting with inbound claims processing and payments and managing a team of 3 people.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Insurance**
- Build relationship with key contacts within appointed insurance company.
- Complete understanding of all current policies, aggregate amounts, and processes.
- Industrial Special Risks (Assets, plant & equipment)
- Logistics Operators Liability (Customer freight in transit or storage)
- Motor Vehicle (Prime mover & trailer accidents)
- Review all Motor Vehicle accidents raised in Rapid and raise claim with insurer when necessary.
- Work closely with each branch and driver managers to investigate MV or LOL accidents and collate all information and documentation required by insurer.
- Work closely with insurer and appointed legal representative regarding legal proceedings or letters of demand.
- Attend legal proceedings when required.
- Prepare any defence documentation as required.
- Follow up branches for any missing documentation, truck repair invoices etc.
**Administration**
- Maintain high standards of record keeping and file notes.
- Ensure all files are kept up to date, with all relevant documents attached.
- Supervise a team of 3x National Claims Officers.
**Claims Processing**
- Assist claims officers with processing of inbound claims - documenting, investigating, and supplying customer with resolution.
- Approve PO’s when required.
- Manage Claims inbox by categorising inbound claims and queries.
- Assist claims officers with customer responses when necessary and guidance is required.
**Development and Efficiencies**
- Assist National Claims Officers in improving their internal and external client communications through the development of templates that promote consistency.
- Continually reviewing processes to identify inefficiencies and develop process improvements.
**Compliance to Quality and Environmental Accreditations**
- Understand and comply with PrixCar company policy and procedure, OHS&E standards, environmental policies and ensure compliance to ISO9001:2008 and ISO14001:2004.
- Other duties as required by management.
**Skills and Experience**:
- Ideally have minimum of 1-3yrs experience in similar role within a major Insurance Company.
- Proven expertise in logistics and motor liability insurance.
- Exceptional time management and investigation skills.
- Excellent leading abilities.
- Strong organisation skills.
- Effective open and written communication abilities.
- High attention to detail.
- Skilled with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and OneNote.
- Warm and welcoming customer care.
- Self-motivated and a willingness to learn.
- Strong work ethic.
- Flexible - ability to multi-task and adapt to changing work requirements.
- Enthusiastic team player.
