**The role**:
Opportunities exist for a Sample Registration level III at our Kensington Office. We are seeking Sample Registration Officers in our Sample Registration department who will be directly responsible for communicating with external and internal stakeholders, logistics, and registration of various types of samples such as Routine Quality Assurance, Quarantine, AQIS Imported Foods and Shelf-Life samples.

**The responsibilities of the role include**:

- Working safely
- Keeping the workplace fit for purpose
- Working within quality assurance policies and contributing to continuous improvement
- Unpacking, sub sampling and labelling of test samples as received
- Processing of sample submission paperwork
- Checking for discrepancies between samples and sample submission forms and reporting of discrepancies to Management
- Reading and understanding test descriptions
- Assigning appropriate tests for the sample matrices received
- Registering samples in a timely and accurate manner
- Communicating with other team members and couriers
- Locating samples for additional or retesting
- Processing of samples for transit batches
- Appropriate storage of samples to ensure temperature requirements are met
- Distributing samples to other business units and sub-contract laboratories
- Other laboratory duties as required

**requirements for this position**:

- Previous administration experience
- Hands on experience in a laboratory environment
- Highly Desirable - sample registration experience
- Highly Desirable - working knowledge of Labware
- Ability to prioritise work in order to meet daily deadlines
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Capacity to work autonomously and effectively in a team environment
- Demonstrable knowledge of OHS requirements within a laboratory
- Liaise with other internal laboratories in a professional manner to achieve best outcomes
- Committed to achieving the highest level of service
- Continuous improvement focus and Lean Laboratories Principles
- Adheres to all company policies & procedures
- Professional and diligent
- Able to develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Focus, driven and the capacity to take ownership of targets/objectives
